Advanced Concepts in Peritoneal Dialysis (1.0 Contact Hour)
This course discusses the underlying concepts in PD. It also details the prevailing theories for the physiology of peritoneal transport with respect to solutes and water, the concept of sodium sieving and factors that affect clearance. The indications and contraindications for PD are also outlined.
Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Access (1.0 Contact Hour)
This course describes the underlying concepts in peritoneal dialysis access and how they can be applied to the improvement of clinical outcomes. It teaches how to identify the appropriateness of catheter type based on individual patient characteristics and incorporate appropriate patient preparation procedures into patient care. This PD access course also covers how to recognize common signs and symptoms of complications associated with PD access.
Peritonitis: Key Concepts for Improving Patient Outcomes (1.0 Contact Hour)
This course provides up-to-date information on the classification, diagnosis and treatment of peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis patients. It also covers patient- and treatment-related factors that can impact peritonitis and discusses prevention strategies that could lead to improved patient outcomes.
PD: Solutions (1.0 Contact Hour)
This course gives an overview of the electrolytes, osmotic agents and buffer bases currently used in peritoneal dialysis fluid (PDF). The course also discusses biocompatibility of the PDFs with special regard to pH, Glucose Degradation Products (GDPs) and Advanced Glycosylation Endproducts (AGEs).

Exit site classification and rate calculation (1.7 Contact Hours)
This course teaches how to classify peritoneal exit sites for continuous quality improvement purposes as well as how to prevent and treat commonly seen exit site problems.
Fluids and electrolytes (1.0 Contact Hour)
This course provides a basic foundation for understanding of the critical relationship between five major electrolytes and their impact on intracellular and extracellular fluid volume.
Turning the light on peritoneal dialysis (PD)-This course has been re-titled and updated and is now called Introduction to Peritoneal Dialysis.
